I was always surrounded by the plastics industry growing up. My life was hockey, which I began playing when I was four years old, and plastics, my dad’s career and sport of choice. My dad, John, has spent over forty years in resin sales, meaning I had a front-row seat to see how deeply the industry impacts people’s lives, communities, families, and businesses. My dad’s dedication to the work inspired me to explore it for myself. Now, as a part of Genesis Polymers, I’m excited to continue his legacy in my own way.

From an early age, I have always been curious about how things are made. Plastics are everywhere—from the products we use daily, to the life-saving medical devices you find in hospitals, to cutting edge innovations of all shapes and sizes. Watching my dad’s career grow and hearing him talk about the challenges he faced in the industry on early morning car rides to hockey practice sparked a desire in me to learn more about his craft and devote myself to this work once my days on the ice were over.
Before joining Genesis, I was fortunate enough to graduate with an undergraduate degree from Berkeley and a master’s from Columbia. My ambition was to be a journalist focused on business issues. I pursued that dream for several years before finding where my true passion.
When I ultimately landed in the resin business, I found myself working with people who shared my enthusiasm for what we do; whether it’s supporting our customers, traveling to new places, or tackling new application challenges.
What I love most about working at Genesis is the sense of community and fellowship we have fostered. Our team is committed to staying ahead of the curve. Whether it’s forging deeper partnerships with Shell and Heartland Polymers, or pursuing sustainable initiatives like Blue Polymers, it’s clear that our focus is on progress without ever compromising quality. The energy At Genesis is contagious, and it’s inspiring to work alongside people who are passionate about what they do.
The future at Genesis Polymers is extremely bright, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. There are endless opportunities to grow, learn, and contribute. With the knowledge and experience passed on from my dad, as well as the expertise of managers and colleagues, I feel well-equipped to build upon a solid foundation.

Joining Genesis Polymers has been an opportunity to dive into the resin world and contribute to something I have always found fascinating and important.
